Fixed the cursor not resetting properly after middle-mouse button panning of the node editor view.Fixed dragging a selection box outside of the node editor not scrolling it correctly. Some fixes and improvements to the Color node numeric color mode based on the new color model features.Added link to user Discord channel in the Help menu. You can now use middle-mouse button for panning in the preview just like in the node editor view.Made it easier to find the Value Time function node by also placing it in a new Animation category in the add node menu. This will also mean some exported colors will look different compared to older versions, so there is an option added in the settings to keep the old conversion to get the same output. Color parameters can now be set and stored in different colorspaces/models (like Grayscale and CMYK) instead of always being converted to RGB and losing precision. The this new version makes some changes to the way colors are handled, with better support for non-rgb colors (like CMYK and Grayscale), but mainly it fixes a lot of big and small bugs. Today another update of Patternodes 3 has been released. Extensive manual, sample files, node reference guide and other inline help features to help you get started.Export animations as GIF, SVG, QuickTime MOV, MPEG4 or numbered PNG, JPEG or PDF files.Export the result as bitmap (JPEG, PNG, TIFF) or vector (SVG, EPS, PDF) graphics, or just copy it and paste it into some other application.Nondestructive randomisation functions to randomly scale, rotate, move or adjust the color of the individual elements of your patterns.Define complex relationships by making connections between nodes.Create data-driven visualizations based on imported values.Automates making seamless repeating pattern tiles.Import or paste in bitmap graphics (JPEG, TIFF, PNG) or vector shapes (EPS, PDF or SVG) to use in your designs. Built in nodes to create shapes, lines, curves or text to build your designs with.Animate any parameter using the animation timeline to create animated patterns or designs.Real-time updated preview of the result while adjusting parameters.Flexible node-based interface for non-destructive transformations and repetitions. There is a collection of projects that could work as inspiration for what you could use Patternodes for here on Behance: Inspiration on Behance There is also extensive inline help features, warnings, sample files and even a manual to help you use the software. Patternodes is designed from the start to stimulate playful use and experimentation, therefore the result is always shown in the preview view updating in real time. And finally all of these node parameters can be animated using keyframes in a timeline. The parameters that control each node can also be connected to other nodes, establishing complex relationships where one property controls another. This makes it easy to tweak repetition counts or element properties and instantly see the end result. The node sequence is completely non-destructive, so you can change any step in the sequence at any time without having to redo anything. You might call this parametric design or visual scripting for 2d graphics. This is done using a node-based interface where you define a sequence of connected nodes that describe the design, each representing graphical elements, changes or repetitions. Patternodes is a tool for creating generative design, vector patterns or animations.
